Why I'm Interested in Women's Studies

I am interested Women's Studies because I do not like the way things are right now in our society. In high school and my earlier years I noticed how unfair and messed up some parts of the system were, but I didn't really think I could work against it. I had no idea that I could have so much support and that there were women who felt exactly as I did. Once you start taking Women's Studies classes and learn about women in general and also female sociologists who have ideas about changing and shaping the way we live our lives, you realize that women don't just have to let things happen to them. Also to know that feminism and activism aren't just things of the past can really give hope for the future.
